SEO guide

Lovable SEO checklist: get your website found on Google.

Publishing a Lovable website doesn't put it on Google by itself. Follow these five steps so search engines can find, understand, and show your pages.

Why it matters

Published is not the same as indexed.

Lovable produces fast, clean pages, which is a strong start for SEO. But Google still needs clear signals: what each page is about, which pages exist, and permission to crawl them.

Common problems include results that say "No information is available for this page", a raw domain name instead of your brand, or Search Console reporting "Blocked by robots.txt". This checklist prevents all three.

The checklist

Five steps from launch to search results.

01

On-page basics before launch

  • —Give every page its own title (about 50–60 characters) and description (about 150–160 characters).
  • —Point each page's canonical link to itself, on your real domain.
  • —Write descriptive image alt text instead of file names.
  • —Use one clear main heading per page that matches the search phrase.
  • —Add a favicon so your logo can appear next to your result.

02

Structured data for better results

  • —Add WebSite data so Google shows your brand name above the URL.
  • —Describe your business with Organization or ProfessionalService data.
  • —Supply a clean square image so mobile results don't crop your logo.
  • —Use Article and Breadcrumb data on guides and deeper pages.

03

Let search engines in

  • —Check robots.txt allows crawling and lists your sitemap.
  • —Publish a sitemap.xml with every public page.
  • —Add llms.txt so AI search tools understand your site.
  • —Link every important page from your navigation or footer.

04

Connect Google Search Console

  • —Verify ownership of your domain.
  • —Submit sitemap.xml under Indexing → Sitemaps.
  • —Use URL Inspection → Test live URL → Request indexing for new pages.
  • —If a page shows 'Blocked by robots.txt', request a robots.txt recrawl after fixing it.

05

Measure and maintain

  • —Install Google Analytics once, and confirm one page view per visit.
  • —Check pages for speed with PageSpeed Insights.
  • —Avoid broken links, and redirect any page you move.
  • —Add new pages to the sitemap whenever you publish them.

Be patient

Google works on its own schedule.

After you publish and request indexing, new pages usually appear within a few days to a few weeks. Brand names and thumbnails can take longer.

Keep content helpful, update the sitemap when you add pages, and check Search Console every few weeks for new issues.
